winter and dinner

So, I decided to try this out. Winter is upon us here in Utah. I love living in Benjamin, just not during the winter. The kids and I were just bringing some firewood in and bringing some more wood close to the house so we can cut and cover it before the big storm hits. It sounds like we're homesteaders or something. On Tuesday we went to a Christmas party at Church. The place was totally packed. I don't know how we'll all squeeze in next year. I helped roast 2 turkey breasts and Ashley said they were the only juicy ones. I don't know why some people like their turkey dry and flavorless. I brine my turkey just like Alton Brown on Food Network.
I'm making steak sandwiches for dinner. I've never bought London Broil before , but I read up on it and I'll prepare it like a flank steak and slice it thin. It will be delicious and economical. Harold saw a recipe for sweet onion steak sandwiches so that's what I'm doing. I love when the kids take some interest in food preparation. Yesterday Harold and I made egg nog cookies for his cub scout den. They took cookie plates around to some neighbors and sang Christmas carols.
I heard that our cookies were very well received. Well I've got to go finish dinner now.
